2. Tactical Mode | |
2.1 About | This is for all the players who like tactical combat and
not just want to shoot around. This mode is team based, the Australians versus the
Wasteland Tribes. Each map has its own mission each team has to accomplish. If a player is killed, he has to wait until the next round to respawn. A round ends if a team succeeds to accomplish all mission objectives, if the round time is expired or if all members of a team are fragged. |
2.2 Objective | If you enter the map, you can read the objectives of
each team. For example you have to capture a chopper, plant bombs or steal data discs. Press "0" to close the mapinfo screen. If you want to read it again later, press the mapinfo button. |
2.3 Join/change a team | After closing the mapinfo screen, another menu pops up. You can join the Wasteland Tribes or the Australians by pressing "1" or "2". Press "0" if you want to enter spectator mode. If you would like to change your team later press the teamchange button. |

2.5 Ranking System | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you accomplish mission objectives, make many frags or if your team wins
often, then you will get a better rank. A good rank will allow you to get a good weapon at
the beginning of a round. |
2.6 Get a new weapon | In the first 30 seconds of each round you
can get a new weapon. Press the weapon-menu button. Now you can choose from SIDEARMS, SMALL GUNS and BIG GUNS. Remember that you only can carry one sidearm and one gun! The menu should look like this now: ![]() Just to the right of the weapon picture there is a rank symbol. You need at least this rank to get that weapon. Press the number of the gun you want. Note: You can access this menu even if you aren't in a weapon zone, but you can't actually choose a gun. Weapon zones are typically near your spawn point. |
2.7 Info Icons | Some missions contain finding items (for
example data discs) and bringing them back to the extraction point. Or sometimes you
have to blow up enemy targets. The Info Icons on the bottom-right of your screen help you
to orientate. Here is a list of what they mean:![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
